Bacon, Onion and Gruyere Quiche: Heaven in a Pie Crust

Ted and I made the most delicious quiche in the world today. We followed¬†this recipe¬†pretty closely, so I won’t bore you with the details. Instead, here are some pictures of the deliciousness.

We got a little creative and decided to make a second quiche with bacon, asiago, and feta. It was good, but the gruyere quiche was the clear winner. This was the perfect easy brunch/lunch/dinner. Yes, I will be eating it for my next four meals. It’s that good.

La Vida Loca: Four Cheese Quesadillas

  • Food: four cheese quesadillas
  • Ingredients: tortilla, cheddar, monterey jack, feta, and manchego cheese
  • Prep time: negligible
  • Cook time: 5 minutes

Tonight was another quesadilla night, but I decided to make something different (rather than my usual chicken and cheese). I threw together all the cheeses in my fridge (cheddar, monterey jack, manchego, and feta) to create an amazing quesadilla! If you have never heard of manchego, I am sorry you are missing out such a heavenly creation. Go buy some immediately. It is the best thing you will ever taste (except for potatoes, that is).

When Jill and I can't think of creative titles for posts, we just throw in the one relevant foreign language phrase we know. If we don't know one, we google it.
